TUDOR X VCARB: The Tudor Black Bay Ceramic "Blue"
Today, an exciting release for both watch enthusiasts and motorsport fans was announced with the launch of the new Tudor Black Bay Ceramic "Blue." This timepiece has already garnered buzz as a “mystery watch” that was first spotted in February on the wrists of Visa Cash App Red Bull Formula 1 team (VCARB) drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda.
Tudor's sponsorship of the team, who recently rebranded from Scuderia AlphaTauri and before that, Scuderia Toro Rosso, marked a new era for the watch manufacturer in the world of motorsport. The team boasts a legendary history of over 350 races since its inception, and with its fresh identity as VCARB, they made a stylish entry onto the circuit sporting what was then assumed to be a team-exclusive watch.
Peter Bayer, CEO of VCARB, expressed his excitement for the collaboration, stating, “Our team will be challenging the status quo in Formula 1 with a strong identity, unique style, and uncompromising quality – just like Tudor watches.”
The Black Bay Ceramic "Blue" Dial: A Watch for Champions
Today, Tudor announced that this striking watch is now available for enthusiasts to purchase at Tudor Authorized Dealers like Korman. This launch marks an exciting return to motorsport for Tudor, echoing the brand's support of the Tudor Watch Racing Team in the late '60s and the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
The Black Bay Ceramic "Blue" shares the same MT5602-1U movement and 41mm black ceramic case as its predecessor, the Black Bay Ceramic. Its distinguishing features are a distinctive blue domed dial with dark surrounds on the hands and markers, complemented by blue accents on both the hybrid leather/rubber strap and the fabric strap, which are both included with the watch. Retailing at $5,150, the same price as the Black Bay Ceramic, this timepiece is one that any collector, whether a motorsport fan or not, would be proud to wear.
